When choosing plants, you should pay particular attention to the sun's orientation. Tip: If you don't have a green thumb, simply place a few herb pots. These are quite undemanding, give off a wonderful scent, and add the finishing touch to summer dishes.

Outdoor lighting contributes significantly to the mood. Especially on warm summer evenings, fairy lights, dimmed outdoor lamps, or candles, as well as LED or solar lamps, make the outdoor area truly cozy. Practical for small spaces: solar or battery-powered lights that can be placed flexibly without tangled cables. Lanterns for standing or hanging, or simply large pillar candles for the floor, also create a cozy atmosphere. Plus point: candles are also available with a pleasant scent that also keeps insects away.

Cooking outdoors is a very special way of life. In densely populated areas, gas grills are particularly suitable here, as they produce little smoke and are very mobile.
